Pattern Vases
Baccarat

Pattern Vases is a tribute to the iconic textile patterns: the Argyle, the Tartan and the Herringbone are a universal language. The project aims to translate this language to crystal using Baccarat’s techniques. Patterns are applied on the surface using flat cuts, wheel cuts and sanding. The textile effect is the result of the overlap of these techniques and the application of color. Project in collaboration with David Luraschi, made at ECAL/University of art and design Lausanne, 2012.

The region’s nature played a decisive role in its history. I portrayed the impressive landscape of the territory in a simple wooden box. Its small scale requires high precision and great care for details.
